Amazing Pan-Fried Steak
Ingredients
- 1 lb Premium Beef Top Sirloin Steaks (grass fed)
- Socks’ Love Rub (Steak Rub - can be any other too)
- Montreal Chicken seasoning
- 4-5 tbsp corn/vegetable oil
Instructions
Make sure to get top sirloin steak as it has a very fragrant taste (grass fed probably helps too - the meat is usually deep red). If the steak is thicker than 1/2in then slice it crosswise into 1/2in-thick slices.
Combine steak rub and Montreal chicken seasoning in 1-1/2 proportion in a bowl or small plate. Rub each piece of steak well with seasoning and set aside for about 10 mins.
Add oil to a skillet (deeper is better because it splatters a lot). Bring oil to a high heat. Place steak onto the skillet and sear on each side for about 1min. Then turn down the heat a little (not too much) and keep frying for about 4 more mins (2 on each side). This will produce a medium or medium-rare steak.
Offload the steak into a small pot with lid and let the meat rest for about 10 mins before serving.
