Beef Roast
Ingredients
- 3 lb beef roast
- 2 cups beef broth (or bullion with water)
- 1 lb carrots
- 1 onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- Optional: Cornstarch or flour for gravy
- Oregano and basil, or Italian seasoning to taste
Instructions
Salt and pepper the meat then sear. Using the insta pot simplifies this to one pot, but the meat could be seared on the stove and transferred to the crock pot.
Remove the seared meat and add onions to the pan/pot and begin to scrape up the burned meat on the bottom of the pan.
When the onions are clear add broth (I used beef bullion and water) and finish scraping the bottom of the pan/pot.
Add meat back into the pot and add carrots. Sprinkle with oregano and basil, or Italian seasoning.
Cook on high for 6 hours
