Deep-Dish Pepperoni Pizza
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 8 oz. pizza dough at room temperature
- 1/2 lb mozzarella, grated (2 cups)
- 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 pepper, sliced (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives, pitted
- 4 mushroom, thinly sliced
- 1 oz. sliced pepperoni
- salt & black pepper
Instructions
Heat oven to 400F.
Coat a 9-inch oven-proof skillet or cake pan with 1 1/2 Tbsp. of the oil.
Press the dough into the pan, covering the bottom and sides.
Top with half the mozzarella, then the tomatoes, oregano, and remaining mozzarella.
In a small bowl, toss the onion, olives, mushrooms, and pepperoni with 1/2 Tbsp. of the remaining oil; scatter over the pizza.
Bake until the crust is golden brown, 30-35 mins.
