Shuba (Beet Salad) Recipe
Cured Salmon Salad
Ingredients
- cured salmon
- 2-3 onions
- 2-3 medium beets
- 4-5 medium potatoes
- mayonnaise
Instructions
Prepare the onions by cutting them into rings, placing the rings into a container and filling the container with boiling water.
Let the onions sit for 5-10min.
Prepare the salmon by soaking it for 5min in cold water to desalinify.
Prepare potatoes and beats by boiling them in hot water (in separate containers) with their skin on.
Then peel both, potatoes and beats and cut them into small cubes.
Every ingredient is arranged in layer in a ceramic or plastic container.
Salmon goes on the bottom, covered with a layer of onions.
The onions are covered sparsely with mayo and slightly salted.
The next layer is potatoes, covered with mayo and salt just like the onions.
Lastly, do the same for beats.
