Zinas Liver Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb liver (beef is best), finely ground
- 4-5 onions
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 5oz mayonaise
- pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup milk (more or less, depending on how it mixes with flour)
Instructions
Cut onions into half-rounds and fry up with butter until well done.
Mix flour with milk to make a fairly liquid mixture.
Mix together eggs, salt, pepper, liver and flour+milk mixture.
Fry in a frying pan just like you were frying blini.
Make a cake in layers like so:
- blin (on the bottom)
- fried onion
- thinly cover with mayo
- Repeat x5 but use up all the ingredients before the last blin (so it sits on top)
