Asian Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. (or less) vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. (or more) vinegar (red wine, balsamic, plain white)
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt (opt)
  • seasoning packet from Ramen noodles
  • coleslaw package (either regular cabbage coleslaw mix or broccoli slaw)
  • packette of crushed Ramen noodles (any flavor, but Oriental is best)
  • sunflower seeds and/or slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Mix vegetable oil, vinegar, sugar, black pepper, seasoned salt and seasoning packet from Ramen noodles together.
  • Mix in coleslaw package (either regular cabbage coleslaw mix or broccoli slaw)
  • Add packette of crushed Ramen noodles (any flavor, but Oriental is best)
  • Keep stirring occasionally for an hour or so, cuz the slaw will ‘melt’ down, & noodles will absorb and become soft.
  • Add sunflower seeds and/or slivered almonds and stir in before serving.
